Hotel Okura Amsterdam Receives Green Key and Gives Away Biological Star Dinners
Hotel's Roof to be Green for One Day
During a festive gathering on June 11, 2009, Hotel Okura Amsterdam has received the Green Key from Mr Herman Mulder, for meeting the strict demands this international sustainability label maintains for the hotel/conference
category.
Immediately after receiving the certificate, Hotel Okura Amsterdam had launched various promotional activities, including the raffle of a number of biological dinners at the French Ciel Bleu Restaurant, holder of two Michelin stars.
Until July 9 a green logo will be featured on the homepage. Visitors to the website could click on this logo
and leave their contact details to participate in the draw for the culinary prize. The 100th, 200th, 300th and 400th visitors were offered a complete biological dinner for two at the Chef's Table in the kitchen of restaurant Ciel Bleu.
During this period, the Okura has also donated a beautiful cherry-blossom tree to the Amsterdam South district for every ten reservations made for the Green Key Leisure package. Hotel Okura will also offer a Green Key Meeting package, including - among other things - a biological lunch buffet for attendants.
On June 11th, the roof of the building was coloured green, to proclaim the reception of the Green Key.
